Robert Hagan

Robert Hagan is known for its western, romantic, decorative, adventure, maritime paintings and portraits.

Hagan's approach to painting to scenes of daily life translate into romantic, nostalgic, quiet world views. His subjects include the figure in a moment of reflection, animals, kids fishing on the beach with their father, sailboats, rainforest birds, cowboys on horseback rounding up cattle or bent over a campfire after a hard day's droving and dusty outback scenes of Australia.

Although self-taught, Hagan's style is impressionistic with a limited palette of oil to a feeling of rest and light play on the painting come to life. His brushwork is loose with the final battles of impasto.
