Roland Palmaerts
Biography
Born October 4, 1953 in Brussels (Belgium), Roland Palmaerts is born into a family of painters. He did his apprenticeship surrounded by tables of his father and great-grandfather. At the age of six, he won first prize in the national competition Tintin. Roland Palmaerts studied at the Athenaeum, at the Institut Saint-Luc and the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels where he won the first prize in drawing watercolour.
In 1972, the artist joined the Belgian armed forces as a paratrooper.
